All transformers are subjected to all routine tests in our sophisticated laboratory in factory confirming to latest national and international standard specifications. Tests are intended for use for the basic validation of design and the basis for performance, safety, and reliability of the transformers.

ROUTINE TEST BASED ON IS 2026

Ratio , polarity and phase sequence
No load current and losses at rated frequency , rated voltage and at 90% and 110%voltage
Load losses at rated current and normal frequency
Impedance voltage test
Resistance of windings
Insulation resistance
Induced over voltage withstand test
Separate source voltage withstand test

ROUTINE TEST BASED ON IS 1180

Measurement of winding resistance (at all taps if applicable )
Measurement of voltage ratio , polarity , phase sequence and vector group
Measurement of short circuit impedance (principle tapping , when applicable)
Load losses at rated current and normal frequency at50% and 100% load
Measurement of no load loss and current
Measurement of insulation resistance
Induced over voltage withstand test
Separate source voltage withstand test
Pressure test
Oil leakage test
Oil samples (one sample per lot) to comply with IS1866
Measurement of no load losses and magnetizing current at rated frequency and at 90% , 100% and 112% voltage

TYPE TESTS

Heat run – Temperature rise test as per IS 2026 Part -2 for determining the maximum temperature rise after continuous full load run
Lightening impulse voltage test – as per clause no. 13 ( with chopped wave ) of IS -2026 -part 3 latest version . BIL for 11kv shall be minimum 95kv peak.
Vacuum test – as per IS -1180 /part-1 / 2014
Pressure test – as per IS -1180 /part -1/ 2014 with latest amendments as per the clause NO. 21.5.2.1
Short circuit withstand test – thermal and dynamic ability
Magnetic balance test
Noise level measurement
Measurement of zero phase sequence impedance
Measurement of relief device test. The pressure relief device shall be subject to increasing fluid pressure. It shall operate before reaching the test pressure as specified in the above class . the operating pressure shall be recorded . the device shall seal- off after the excess pressure has been released.
Paint adhesion test
Test for Buchholz relay (above 1000 KVA )
Special test other than type and routine tests, as agreed between purchaser and bidder shall also be carried out as per the relevant standards.

Guarantee/ Warrantee of the Transformer

Reliability & performance

PE hereby warrant that the transformers supplied by us shall have no defect arising from the design, Materials or workmanship that may develop under normal use of the transformers in the conditions prevailing at the site of installation.

This warranty does not cover accessories like porcelain bushings and its metal parts and breather.

This warranty will be valid if the installation and maintenance of the transformers is not done as per our “Manual of installation, operation and maintenance” provided with the transformer. From the date of purchase order we will deliver the product within 3 to 4 weeks lead time..

The guarantee of the individual transformer to be supplied shall be for 24 (Twenty Four ) months from the date of delivery against any delivery manufacturing defect on account of improper design, bad workmanship or poor quality of raw material used etc. and any such defects occurring within the above period will be repaired/replaced by us free of cost.
